Reflecting on the 25th anniversary of the civil unrest, Professor Dowell Myers analyzes the demographic changes that have taken place since 1992, as well as the ways in which demographic shifts continue to shape the future of Los Angeles residents. This paper was originally presented at the April 27-28 conference, Forward LA: Race, Arts, and Inclusive Placemaking after the 1992 Civil Unrest.
