At Alliance & Patti Peter Neuwirth Leadership Academy, a charter high school in South Los Angeles, about 95% of students are low-income and Latino. Nearly 100% of students graduate eligible to apply to a four-year university in California.

“At our school, we have a deep belief that zip code or socioeconomic background should not determine our kids’ futures. By pushing our scholars to reject the status quo and what society would expect from this community, we are able to make academic success a daily reality.”

– CRAIG WINCHELL, TEACHER FOR AP US HISTORY AND INSTRUCTIONAL LEAD
