On May 26th, the Homelessness Policy Research Institute held a virtual research seminar on current issues surrounding encampments and the unsheltered population. After a presentation on Abt Associates’ latest research on the topic, HPRI Director Gary Painter hosted a panel featuring Lauren Dunton (Senior Associate, Abt Associates), Amy Turk (CEO, Downtown Women’s Center), Dr. Jill Khadduri (Principal Associate, Social & Economic Policy, Abt Associates), and Stephanie Klasky-Gamer (President and CEO, LA Family Housing). The group of experts also discussed what they’ve been seeing on the ground with Project Roomkey.
