On November 12, Wilma Franco was featured in the Price Center’s Social Innovation Speaker Series, where she facilitated a productive and engaging conversation with Price Center Director Gary Painter about achieving large-scale change through collective impact. During this lunchtime lecture, Dr. Franco explained her work as Director of the Southeast Los Angeles (SELA) Collaborative. Her mission is to help strengthen SELA Communities, build collective power, and encourage innovation to drive regional systemic change. She was inspired to work at SELA Collaborative given its core values and commitment to the Southeast LA region by way of creating a collective approach to serving the region through nonprofit capacity building, civic engagement, and data and research.
