Elly Schoen serves as the Data & Project Manager at the USC Price Center for Social Innovation. In this role, Elly provides project management for the Price Center’s Neighborhood Data for Social Change platform, as well as the Homelessness Policy Research Institute.
Elly graduated with her Masters of Public Policy from the Price School in 2018. She served as a research assistant in the Price Center for much of that time, and was instrumental in the development, launch, and ongoing expansion of the Neighborhood Data for Social Change platform. In addition to bringing skills in project and systems organization to the position, Elly is passionate about using data to inform policy and social change. Through projects like NDSC Data Stories, she has worked in partnership with community organizations to show how the Center’s data analysis work can inform solutions to a wide range of issues faced by neighborhoods throughout LA County. Elly is originally from New Orleans; and prior to her graduate work at the Price School, she worked in disaster relief and fundraising at Catholic Charities and helped launch a start-up culinary and hospitality school in the city.
