Dr. Megan Goulding

Dr. Megan Goulding serves as the Head of Strategy and External Relations for the USC Price Center for Social Innovation, where she leads all fundraising and communications activities for the Price Center, as well as the development and execution of the Price Center’s content and initiatives in social innovation. Her doctoral research examined the decision-making processes that philanthropic foundations use to determine investment in emergent models of impact investing, including social impact bonds (pay for success). Dr. Goulding also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the USC Price School of Public Policy, teaching an undergraduate course in social innovation.

Prior to joining the USC Sol Price Center for Social Innovation, Dr. Goulding managed fundraising and communication strategies for USC University Relations, where she supported the university’s community outreach programs focused on education and college access, health outreach, and economic development. She previously served as the Director of Development and Strategic Communications for the USC Price School of Public Policy. In this role, she developed the school’s first corporate and foundation giving program, and designed multifaceted communication strategies to highlight faculty research, student accomplishments, and policy impact.

In addition to her Doctor of Policy, Planning, and Development degree from the USC Price School of Public Policy, Dr. Goulding also holds a Masters of Public Administration degree from the USC Price School of Public Policy and an undergraduate degree in Journalism from California State University, Long Beach.
