Nicole Brown

Research Assistant

Nicole Brown is a Research Fellow at the Tomás Rivera Policy Institute. Her primary focus is on a project in partnership with the MacArthur Foundation’s Safety and Justice Challenge, which explores alternatives to arrest and reducing jail populations with special attention to the experience of Latinos and noncitizens (TRPI-Justice.org).

Nicole recently graduated with a Master of Public Policy from the Price School. Prior to USC, she was Field Director at Unite Oregon, a statewide grassroots organization working to advance immigrant and refugee rights. At Unite Oregon, she led leadership development programs and worked on many issues such as tenants’ rights, police profiling and ending law enforcement collaboration with Immigrant and Customs Enforcement (ICE). On her free time, Nicole enjoys the beach, hiking, and traveling.
