The Price Center has hosted two seminar series this year. The Social Innovation Seminar Series highlighted faculty research from across the country. The series, targeted to faculty and graduate students, seeks to catalyze a community of scholarship around social innovation while building the center’s reputation nationally. The Social Innovator Seminar series featured local social entrepreneurs who are building innovative enterprises that provide social goods. The center records most of the seminars and makes the videos available online.
This constellation of activities and initiatives leverages the vision and interdisciplinary strengths of the USC faculty to illuminate ideas, strategies, and practices that improve the quality of life for low-income urban communities. Taken together they mark a significant advance toward the Price Center’s goals of scholarship with impact.
